School Board Mulls Hurricane Make-up Day

School Board Mulls Hurricane Make-up Day
Flagler Schools

On Tuesday, December 20th, Flagler County School Board members will be asked to vote on a make-up day for instructional time lost due to Hurricane Nicole.

While there were four possible days the District could use, our District Calendar Committee was mindful of holiday schedules our families may have already planned. For that reason, committee members have recommended to the School Board using March 17th as an instructional day. It is currently listed as a Teacher Work Day.

December 23rd and January 6th were ruled out because of the winter break and May 30th is right after the Memorial Day holiday at the end of the school year.

Flagler Schools wants to remind our parents that while the committee has recommended March 17th be changed from a Teacher Work Day to a regular instructional day, any change cannot be made official until the School Board vote on December 20th.
